Inside Outside a (kind of) Theater is the last winter class in the year-long Urban Sketchers 10×10 Lisbon, and it will take place next Wednesday, the 19th of December, from 6:30pm to 9pm.
In this workshop, I will share and demonstrate some techniques of sketching and coloring that make the capture of the human figure – and its different aspects – easier and swifter – close-ups and far crowds, still or in motion, with or without props. These are techniques that were honed by years of comic book reading, but also by sketching sessions in theater shows and other similar events.
We’ll take advantage of the noble halls of the Cinema São Jorge – whether seated on the steps of the main entrance or the coffee place upstairs, standing or relaxing in one of the comfy sofas, we’ll be comfortable enough to practice our human figure sketching.
The Outside a (kind of) Theater workshop will take place in the Cinema São Jorge, in Avenida da Liberdade. We’ll meet at 6:30pm on the steps of the Cinema’s main entrance.

19 de Dezembro, das 18h30 às 21h00.
Nesta oficina, irei partilhar e demonstrar algumas técnicas de desenho e cor que facilitam e agilizam a captação da figura humana nos seus vários aspectos – grandes planos ou multidões afastadas, parada ou em movimento, com ou sem figurinos. São técnicas que foram desenvolvidas ao longo de anos de leitura de banda desenhada, mas também de exercícios de desenho em espectáculos de teatro e outros contextos.
Iremos tomar partido do espaço nobre do Cinema São Jorge – instalados nos degraus da entrada ou no café do andar superior, de pé ou num dos confortáveis sofás, teremos todas as condições para praticar o nosso desenho de figura humana.
A oficina Outside a (kind of) Theater terá lugar no Cinema São Jorge, na Avenida da Liberdade. Encontramo-nos às 18h30 nos degraus da entrada principal do Cinema.
